What a lovely day! I have wonderful housemates who seem to have made it a daily goal to boost my self esteem. Between them, my visiting teachers, and my Relief Society presidency, my self esteem was helped a lot today. I was complimented and told I was pretty so many times today. I don't care who you are, that is nice to hear. They did it so genuinely too that I had a hard time blowing it off and shutting it down like I usually do. All I could do was blush and say thank you. At church I was sustained and set apart for my new calling. I am the relief society extra activities coordinator. Another made-up student ward calling? Yep. I don't know for sure what I do yet, but I am told that it's important. Then I made Mom's enchiladas for house dinner after church. Those have always been a favorite for me. They are super simple too which is very nice for me. I like simple food. I didn't think they tasted quite as good as Mom's, but nothing ever does. Then we had a Stake Relief Society fireside which was just lovely. I love our stake Relief Society presidency.
The negative of today? Virginia has decided it's winter. It has been sooo cold these last few days. So, of course, just when it started getting really cold, the heat in our house decided to stop working. We are living in an igloo. I am FREEZING!! Time to bundle up and go to bed.
P.S. People around here always say "Happy Sabbath!" on Sundays. Like it's a holiday. I have never heard that before I came here, but I love it.
